Terri Stearn ASA, ISA AM is an expert in art appraisal services. After graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a BFA in both painting and art history, she went on to serve as the Director of 3 separate galleries in the Metro Detroit Area and curated close to 50 exhibitions in galleries and museums. In 2017 she finished her continuing accreditation classes in personal property through the American Society of Appraisers at Massachusetts College of Art & Design. Terri is a member on the Soul Center Art Advisory Board and also a member of the Ort in the City planning committee. She serves as a Board member to Michigan State University’s Hillel. Terri serves as a Grant panelist for The Michigan Council for Arts and Culture awarding over $100,000 to arts in the school programs and a volunteer at The Detroit Institute of Arts since 1994. 

Terri Stearn holds accreditation from The American Society of Appraisers and International Society of Appraisers.

Ilene Kahan holds a BFA from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. She has held a career in marketing and advertising for over 30 years and does all the marketing for Detroit Fine Art. Currently, Ilene works as both our marketing and personal property appraiser for Detroit Fine Art Appraisals. As an art appraiser with over 4 years of experience, she specializes in Iconic Mid Century Modern Art and Furniture. She has been a featured speaker and appraiser in many onsite appraisal shows. Ilene has a keen eye to spot the difference between fine art and craft. She has extensive experience appraising fine art and all areas of decorative arts.Ilene is a board member for Ort Michigan. Along with Terri Ilene serves as a grant reviewer for the Michigan Council for Cultural Affairs 2018.

With over a decade of experience in the arts, Trista Maltby’s passion is bringing art to a diverse and vast audience. Trista began her career in art museums and then transitioned to a role as an art consultant. She specializes in bridging the gap between first time art collectors and seasoned collectors. Trista has assisted thousands of individuals in collecting some of the most sought after works in the art market. Throughout her career, she has traveled the globe conducting art auctions and specialized seminars. Trista’s undergraduate education is in Art History with a minor in Studio Arts from Kendall College of Art & Design of Ferris State University. She then obtained a Master's Degree in Art in Florence, Italy from Marist-LdM. Her graduate thesis centered on contemporary museum displays and interaction. This led to an opportunity to implement her own original museum program at the historical Palazzo Vecchio - Museo dei Raggazi in Florence. Trista is currently an Associate Appraiser with Detroit Fine Art Appraisals and a member of the International Society of Appraisers.
